Primary and backup internet with no antenna on the roof

A global tire manufacturer needed high-bandwidth primary and backup internet at a facility that was hard on cellular signal.

SimpleCom delivered both from one outdoor-mounted router and a single multi-carrier SIM.

Fixed Wireless Access, primary and backup

Scope

Facility primary and failover internet

The challenge

High bandwidth needs and a building that fights signal

The facility needed high-bandwidth internet for both primary and backup service. The building itself worked against a clean indoor install, and the site carried survey and building penetration requirements of its own.

A rooftop antenna was not the answer the manufacturer wanted, so the solution had to perform without one.

The solution

An outdoor-mounted router with no antenna required

SimpleCom surveyed the site, mounted the router outside where the signal is strongest, and ran a clean path into the building. A SimpleCom Smart SIM handles carrier choice from one card.

Outdoor-mounted router

Weatherproof hardware placed where signal is strongest, with no separate antenna.

Survey first

Signal, pathing and access requirements confirmed before install day.

Clean building entry

Cable penetration planned and completed by SimpleCom installers.

SimpleCom Smart SIM

Every carrier on one card, with traffic shaping and policies built in.

The result

Primary and backup from one clean install

The facility now runs primary and backup internet from a single exterior device. Because the Smart SIM works in more than 170 countries, the same design can travel to the manufacturer’s sites worldwide.
